I saw this little House of Fraser promo where they invited bloggers to create a look for them. I don't normally do an awful lot of fashion but I had to show you this Biba dress that I've been lusting after forever. Today's outfit is very much in the spirit of Fearne Cotton and Sienna Miller, mixing girly pieces with rock and roll. It's something I love!
My look above is quite similar to the things I love to wear. For me it's all about juxtaposition of styles and texture. I love vintage tea dresses, you all know this, but I also love my biker jackets. I've been wearing my leather biker jacket with floaty fabrics and taffeta skirts for ages now so I loved putting it into the look.
A very ladylike beautiful high neck Biba dress it is completely up my street, it's demure but vintage and really pretty, this could be dressed up with a little pair of heels very easily, I've chosen to dress it down. I've coupled it with an edgy Label Lab biker jacket (must have this season) to make this look rock and roll, it juxtaposes with the elegance of the dress. I've accessorised the dress and jacket with these gorgeous studded Steve Madden pumps, a pretty flat for day to day wear with an edgy stud and a Steve Madden bag with stud detail but in a silver to catch the detailing in the jacket. To finish the look off I've gone for a Thomas Sabo watch, oversized and gorgeous.
I'd wear this with a pair of high denier tights during the day for drinks, or to an outdoor gig where I could feel very cool but comfortable and I'd be warm when the sun went down.
Edgy, vintage rock and roll, T Birds meets Tea Party.
