Shocked!: Blog Awards Ireland Make Me A Finalist

You may have noticed in the last few weeks the little rosettes in my sidebar. They're little rosettes from Blog Awards Ireland, I got one when I was put in the long list, then another when my blog was shortlisted and finally the last one when I found out that I'm a finalist in the Best Designed Blog category. Wow!

Firstly, thank you so much if you nominated my blog initially, it genuinely means so much that you took the time to nominate me. I love blogging and I love hearing all your comments and hopefully putting up reviews or tutorials that you find helpful. I think sometimes blogging has kept me sane and you're all a fantastic part of that.
I also have to thank the judges who have come by the blog and marked it for the awards. The judges are as far as I know other bloggers who are in different areas of the blogging world, they give up their time to judge the blogs in all the categories so it's a real labour of love for them. Very appreciative for their hard work.

So on 13th of October the award ceremony is happening. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it, it's outside Dublin and my laptop just broke (I'm on himself's, much to his chagrin) so I think I'll probably have to put my funds in there. But if I can do it, I will be there with bells on. I don't anticipate that I'll win, as the other blogs in my category are wonderful. But it is really so lovely and very humbling that my wee blog, that I designed, tinkered with and piece by piece learned to do HTML on is in a design category. I never consider myself a blog designer or a graphic designer I'm just a blogger who tries hard to make my blog look the way I want it. Many you tube tutorials were watched so it just feels like such a mind boggling gift that I've been nominated.

Anyway thank you all for helping and encouraging me to keep blogging it honestly has been a lovely present in a tough week.

Much Love As Always
