Battle of the Balms: Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

When I started doing the Battle of the Balms I couldn't leave out Emma Hardie's Amazing Face Cleansing Balm, mainly because it would be hugely remiss of me as it is probably the most popular and lauded cleansing balm around at the minute. Alas I finished my pot about two months ago so I haven't been able to test it consecutively like the others but we'll continue anyway. It won't  make a difference!

The Emma Hardie Amazing Face is made from moringa seed extract, wild sea fennel, vitamin E, orange, neroli and mandarin seed extracts, jasmine, cedar wood and rose.

How does it feel?
It's not dissimilar to the Elemis balm, it's slightly harder but when you put it onto your face and start rubbing it in it becomes almost like an oil which is good for massaging the face.

How does it perform?
It removed all my make up very easily, I had no problem taking it around the eyes, there was no stinging or irritation which was fantastic.

How does it smell?
It is perfumed, there's the smell of rosehip, and oranges. I found it very pleasant. Initially I was a little bit worried but it didn't give me any sensitivity issues. It's a really fresh scent I think and certainly isn't sickening.

Results after use
After using this my skin felt soft and supple, it felt moisturised and treated. You get an instructional leaflet with this cleanser as well, how to lift and sculpt your face, lots of exercises and massages to use with the cleanser. I found when I used this I was prone to small bumps around my chin, they weren't spots just little bumps. They were very annoying, when I stopped using it every night they completely vanished. I think that the cleanser is really rich and nourishing, it worked best for me every other night as it was a little too much for my skin every night. The results were lovely though, my skin was soft, supple, I used less moisturiser because of it.

Good for
Dry skin I think would really benefit from this rich cleanser, it worked well with my dehydrated skin and left it really soft. I think if you have oily skin you might want to try it out before you buy just in case it doesn't agree with you, you should do that anyway though!

A gorgeous balm cleanser, it leaves your skin soft and nourished. It's very rich so I had to use sparingly on my skin but this will depend on your own skin. I think as a treatment a few times a week this is a gorgeous addition to your skincare. It was only because I couldn't use it every night that I took marks off.
